Starting 2017 on the right foot! Madonna hit the slopes with her four children, Lourdes, Rocco, David, and Mercy, to celebrate the New Year!

Despite having quite the rocky relationship in the past, Madonna and her kids were all smiles as they enjoyed the Swiss Alps for their family vacation.

“This is the first time that Madonna and all of her kids are together in many many years,” an insider exclusively revealed to . “Rocco and Madonna have had a really rough couple of months and her family was so divided after the custody battle.”

In September, Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie’s bitter custody battle came to a close, after the two agreed to have Rocco stay with his dad in London instead of his mom in New York.

Rocco later slammed his mother on Instagram, after she shared a family Thanksgiving video to her social media, reportedly commenting, “So glad I don’t live there anymore,” in a now deleted post.

“Madonna took this trip to try and really patch things up and she told her friends that she is going to spend this entire year focusing on her family because she is realizing how short life is,” the source said. “She wants to be a good mother to them and she wants them to be good people and she knows that she cannot continue being selfish like she has been.”
