
Madonna Will Perform During WorldPride NYC 2019!

WorldPride NYC 2019 just got a whole lot more fabulous. Pop legend Madonna announced that she will be performing at the Pride Island event on Sunday, June 30. Read on for all the details.
Carson Daly revealed the big news on Today Monday, June 3.

Madonna, 60, joins a slew of other iconic artists including Grace Jones and Kim Petras at the special Pride event taking place at Pier 97 in The Big Apple.

Teyana Taylor and Amara La Negra are also part of the Pride Island lineup.

“I hear you!” Madonna said during her Today segment. “I will be on Pride Island, where I was born!” Tickets for the event are already sold out.

The “Vogue” singer has long been considered a gay icon. She won the Advocate for Change honor at the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards in New York City for her lifetime of championing the LGBT community.

Ciara, Cyndi Lauper, Whoopi Goldberg and more will take part in WorldPride’s opening ceremony at the Barclays Center on Wednesday, June 26. Festivities will continue until Sunday, June 30.
