PHOTOSEJ Johnson Finally Responds To BFF Lyric McHenry's Tragic Death

Magic Johnson's son and reality star, EJ Johnson is mourning the loss of his best friend, Lyric McHenry who was found dead on August 14 of a suspected overdose. Keep reading to hear what he had to say about the tragedy.
Lyric appeared on EJ's reality show, EJNYC, which aired on E! for one season. She was also an executive producer on the show.
EJ said that he wouldn't make a formal statement regarding her death. He did however say in the comments section of his Instagram page a few words about Lyric.
“I’m going to make this clear to everyone there will be no mourning post because I’m not going to reduce a 25yr friendship to 1 Instagram post,” the 26-year-old wrote in a now deleted comment. “Please respect my privacy and my process.”

EJ's friend and Rich Kids of Beverly Hills costar, Dorthy Wang commented on Lyric's death and even clarified reports about her accomplishments. "Lyric was a Stanford graduate, scholar, activist, an intelligent, caring, friend, sister, daughter, and member of society!!!”
Lyric was found on a sidewalk in Bronx on Tuesday August 14 around 5 a.m. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Lyrics had posted some birthday videos and pics the day before on social media.
