Mariah Carey Sells Her Gigantic Engagement Ring From Ex-Fiance James Packer

Pop icon Mariah Carey has quietly sold the engagement ring that ex-fiance James Packer bought her in 2016, and her reasonings for doing so have a lot to do with where she is in her life currently.
The former couple first announced their engagement in January of 2016 before calling it quits nine months later in October.
The gigantic sparkler that James bought her was 35 carats and reportedly worth $10 million dollars. It was part of a financial settlement that she made back in 2017 after their split.
A source revealed to Page Six that the “Honey” singer had one of her business managers quietly sell the ring for $2.1 million dollars to a Los Angeles jeweler.

So why is she selling it when it was part of her settlement in the first place? "Mariah has been very vocal recently about her choice to move forward in her life surrounded by positivity,” her publicist told Page Six.
“That requires leaving emotional and material baggage behind, including an old engagement ring from an ex-boyfriend,” the publicist concluded.
