Mariah Carey Settles Sexual Harassment Lawsuit With Her Former Manager

Mariah Carey’s court battle with her former employee Stella Bulochnikov is officially over. The singer and her ex-manager have now settled their sexual harassment lawsuit.
“The parties have reached a mutually agreed resolution to this matter,” one of Stella’s attorney told Page Six.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Stella has agreed to “discontinue this action against Mariah Carey with prejudice, with each party to bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs.”
Though the lawsuit sought damages, it is not known whether there has been a financial settlement.
Mariah and Stella ended their business relationship back in November 2017 after three years of work together. At the time, in a joint statement, they said they were “partners in a number of business ventures” and would “continue to support each other in those endeavors.”

Just months later, in April 2018, Stella and her lawyers filed a summons in a New York court alleging breach of contract and violation of the U.S. Civil Rights Acts.
According to The Blast, Stella’s lawyers claim that the singer sexually harassed her by frequently being naked in front of her. They also claim Mariah was struggling with substance abuse and owed Stella millions in unpaid commissions.
“Stella Bulochnikov was terminated from employment as Mariah’s manager due to failure to perform her job effectively and ill-serving her client. Stella was not under contract for employment,” Mariah’s rep told People in a statement at the time. “She has been spreading false rumors to any media outlet that will publish them. We won’t respond to lies and threats.”
