The show's host revealed the outcome while teasing the episode on Twitter. "Surprise! @MarisaTomei and @_JulianneMoore are long-lost cousins! We revealed to Marisa that she shares identical segments of DNA with her #CrazyStupidLove co-star (and friend since college!) on this week’s episode of #FindingYourRoots," he wrote.

The women couldn't contain their excitement about the discovery! "What an incredible gift to find out about my family’s roots with @HenryLouisGates! Eternally grateful for this generation and generations to come.... and the big surprise — discovering my friend is my REAL cousin! Hey cuz @juliannemoore," Marisa shared on Instagram.
