Martina McBride and her husband John are being sued by one of her former employees who claims she never paid her interns and made them doing menial tasks while working for her.

Richard Hanson is suing Martina and John, who claims that he was fired for reporting her to authorities, according to reports.

He claimed the McBrides hired unpaid interns and assigned them lowly tasks such as delivering food and cleaning bathrooms.

One of the reported allegations claims that John once sent two interns to his home to check for an intruder and handed them a loaded gun for protection.

Richard said he headed up the internship program until 2017, where he told the married duo that the interns needed to be paid at least minimum wage. Those words fell on deaf ears, according to his claims. He also said that he filed a claim with the Department of Labor and said that John fired him in retaliation in doing so.
