Fans all over the world have wondered for weeks where Meghan Markle gave birth to her and husband Prince Harry's first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. But his birth certificate was officially released to the public on Friday, May 17 and confirms the rumors. The document also formally lists the Duchess of Sussex's true royal occupation. Read on for the details!
According to the birth certificate, the couple's son was born at the private Portland Hospital in Westminster.
A representative from the Westminster Registrar’s Office visited Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, at their home of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor to complete the paperwork so they didn’t have to go to the office by themselves.
Archie was born on May 6 and Meghan previously asked that their birth plans be kept private for the time being.

Meghan and Harry opted to stray from royal tradition by not appearing on the steps outside of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital just as Kate Middleton and Prince William and Princess Diana and Prince Charles did to debut their newborn children.
The former Suits actress is also listed as a “Princess of the United Kingdom” on the birth certificate. Harry is listed as “Prince of the United Kingdom."
The two were given the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex by Queen Elizabeth II following their wedding.
