What’s up, buddy? Meghan Markle received a big hug from her BFF Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian on Saturday, September 7. Her Royal Highness cheered her tennis superstar pal on from the stands of the US Open while she competed in the Women’s Finals that day.
Meghan, 38, was all smiles while embracing Alexis, 36, before Serena’s game against Canadian Bianca Andreescu was set to begin.
The mother-of-one looked absolutely stunning in a form-fitting jean dress and silver cape for the big day. She accessorized the look with a pair of chic shades and necklace.
Meghan received many hugs during her time at the US Open outside of the one from Alexis. She and Serena’s mother Oracene Price enjoyed a special moment in the stands with one another.
Oracene, 67, and Meghan sat next to each other behind Alexis while Serena, 37, played her heart out. The tennis legend unfortunately lost to Bianca, 19, in two rounds.
She also chatted it up with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. Perhaps a cover story is in the works between the fashion legend and new Royal family member?
Meghan was one of many celebrities that have attended the US Open so far. Others included pop superstar Joe Jonas, who sported a t-shirt with Rafael Nadal in the middle on Friday, September 6.
The new mommy reportedly flew coach to see her BFF compete in the legendary tennis tournament. She took a solo trip (husband Prince Harry did not join her) for the special occasion shortly before her maternity leave is set to end.
Meghan’s first post-baby engagement will be on Thursday, September 12, when she steps out to launch a capsule workwear collection with Smart Works. The nonprofit organization aims to provide women in need with professional clothing.
The former Suits actress and her hunky husband Harry, 34, welcomed son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6, 2019. They first announced her pregnancy on October 15, 2018. He is the first child for the couple who wed on May 19, 2018.
