Meghan Markle took a break from her Duchess duties and secretly went to Michelle Obama's book talk at the Southbank Centre in London yesterday. The former First Lady was promoting her new memoir, Becoming and made a stop on her tour to give a talk with famed Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
The Duchess of Sussex kept her appearance on the down low as she sat in the audience. But after Michelle gave her lecture, the two women had a "power meeting" afterwards, the Evening Standard reported.
Meghan “had a long private audience" with Michelle, where they spoke briefly about worldly issues. The mom-to-be chatted with author about subjects like pregnancy, women empowerment and girls' education.
While it's unclear if the actress met Michelle previously, Meghan's husband, Prince Harry met the Obamas several times before.
