Meghan Markle & Prince Harry officially got married on Saturday in a beautiful ceremony at St George’s Chapel inside Windsor Palace. The couple, along with their six hundred guests, enjoyed a delightful luncheon shortly after they said their “I Will’s”, where everybody got a first glance at what their incredible cake looked like!

Meghan & Harry were married in front of their friends and family on Sunday afternoon, some of which included Serena Williams, David Beckham and George Clooney.

Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, hosted a luncheon shortly after their wedding at St. George’s Hall inside Windsor Castle, where legendary pop star Elton John performed.

It was at the luncheon reception where guests got to dig in on the scrumptious wedding menu that included Grilled English Asparagus wrapped in Cumbrian Ham, Garden Pea Panna Cotta with Quail Eggs, and their incredible wedding cake!

The cake, designed by Claire Ptak of London-based bakery Violet Cakes, is a light spounge cake with elderflower syrup and a filling made from Amalfi lemon curd and elderflower buttercream. It was also decorated with Swiss meringue buttercream and 150 fresh flowers. Yum!

"The texture is really lovely and the flavor is quintessentially spring and British,” Claire said about her creation in a video released by Kensington Palace on Friday. Turns out, the cake itself took five days and six extra bakers for it to come alive. Nice work!
