Find Out Where Melissa Rivers Scattered Her Mother Joan Rivers’ Ashes
September 4th will be a year since the tragic death of Joan Rivers and her daughter, Melissa, just revealed where she scattered Joan’s ashes.
The new Fashion Police host, 47, told Entertainment Tonight that she and her 14-year-old son, Cooper, took their annual family trip to Wyoming last month and she decided to spread only some of Joan’s ashes there.
She said sadly, “It was the first one without my mom, and scattered some of her ashes there so we can still be together every August as a family.”

Melissa admitted that the approaching one-year anniversary will be difficult. “Cooper and I talk a lot about what would be the best way to honor her legacy, and the best way to honor her legacy is to be okay.”
She revealed the family’s simple plan. “I’m just going to have a glass of wine,” Melissa said. “He’s going to go to school, I’m going to go to work and come home and light a candle.”
Joan was 81 years old when she passed from complications during a minor surgical procedure on her vocal cords. Melissa is claiming malpractice in a multi-million-dollar lawsuit against the New York clinic. How do you feel about Joan’s ashes being spread in Wyoming?
