OKMagazine.com reported that the Duggar family was “hiding” an in-law named Susanna Keller because she was too “wild” and had a child out of wedlock. But now it's been revealed there's another family secret.
According to RadarOnline, Michelle’s sister, Evelyn Ruark, “identifies as a lesbian,” though the 19 Kids And Counting family has publicly spoken out against homosexuality.
Ruark, who is 63, has been in a long-term relationship with a woman named Sharon Callahan and they live together in Cincinnati, Radar reported.

Evelyn appeared in an episode of the show when it first began and was still called 17 Kids And Counting. The episode (season 1, episode 9) follows the family as they reunite with the Ruark family in Ohio.

In the episode, Evelyn says it was as if her parents wanted two families because she and some of the older siblings were “pretty much grown” when Michelle was young.

One report said that when the Ruark family relocated from Arkansas to Ohio in the early 80’s, Michelle stayed behind to marry Jim Bob Duggar.
And while the pair have been together for 30 years, Evelyn and her partner don’t seem to agree with the Duggar’s QuiverFull lifestyle, which is a religion that denounces birth control.

“We are worried about them,” Sharon told The National ENQUIRER in 2010. “We have often thought that QuiverFull is a cult. It appears to be brainwashing to me.”
