Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was dealt a major blow on Friday after he was sentenced to eight months in prison for tax fraud. He took to his Instagram shortly after to discuss the ordeal in a very upbeat kind of manner.
The Jersey Shore star was not only sentenced to 8 months in prison but two years supervised probation for fraud. In January, he pled guilty to one count of tax evasion.
Mike was sentenced for evading taxes from 2014 and 2017. The maximum sentence he faced was five years in prison. The sentence that he was given in the matter was something his lawyer called a "disappointment".
His brother Marc didn't get off so easy. He was first to be sentenced between the two, where the judge ordered that he served 24 months in prison, three times the amount Mike got. When his prison sentence is over, he’ll be under supervised release for one year.
