Miley Cyrus is getting a full dose of affection after she revealed she is suffering from tonsillitis. On October 8, the “Don’t Call Me Angel” singer shared the unfortunate news on Instagram for her followers. However, Miley, 26, got an extra special visit from her boyfriend Cody Simpson with roses and a guitar in hand, days after they were spotted kissing in a grocery store in Los Angeles on October 3. She revealed that they defined their relationship on her Instagram story.
The first of several Instagram story updates showed Miley as she lay in bed in a hospital gown with an IV in her arm. “Trying to heal as quick as I can to make it to Gorillapalooza w @TheEllenShow @PortiaDeRossi @BrunoMars this weekend!” the Disney Channel alum wrote. “Send gooooood vibes my way! Hoping the Rock star GODS send me a boost of bada** and help me kick this s**t to the curb where it belongs! We got gorillas to save!”
Although the Bangerz hitmaker was unhappy she was sick, especially with the festival ahead, she was thrilled to have Cody, 22, come by the hospital. “BF coming to visit me @ the hospy,” she wrote with heart emojis under a selfie as she lay in bed, making their new relationship official.
"Arrived with roses and his guitar in hand,” Miley captioned a black-and-white picture of Cody, all smiles, standing in her hospital room. “Suddenly I feel much better,” she wrote in video of her and the “On My Mind” singer in bed together.
Miley also recorded a snippet of a song that was written just for her by Cody. “This sweeeeet guy came to visit me at the hospital and sang the sweeeeetest song he wrote just for me.” The “Can’t Be Tamed” singer said she wants him to drop it next week so everyone can hear the special song.

The last of Miley’s story updates was a close-up of the beautiful roses he brought her.
Miley and Cody were first romantically linked on October 3, when they were spotted making out at a grocery store in Los Angeles. They were also seen snuggling during a movie on October 6. The “La Da Dee” singer also came by Miley’s house on October 8 before she headed to the hospital.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer defended moving onto Cody after her splits from Kaitlynn Carter and estranged husband Liam Hemsworth. She wants her fans to get used to her dating, and doesn’t want to be scrutinized for doing so, especially in the public eye.
