After almost five years together, Miley Cyrus took to social media to announce the heartbreaking death of her pet pig Bubba Sue a.k.a Pig Pig. The beloved animal passed away on Wednesday, July 10.
Miley, 26, who is known for adopting all kinds of animals, paid tribute to Pig Pig on Instagram, shortly after her death.
“Very sad to say… my dear friend Pig Pig has passed away…. I will miss u always,” the star captioned a video on her Instagram story of her holding the pig over her shoulder as she ate an apple.
“Thank you for so many laughs and good times girl,” Miley added.

The Disney Channel alum shared another photo of her kissing the animal. "I will miss you Pig Pig” she captioned the picture, adding both a pig and broken heart emoji.
Miley first adopted Pig Pig in August 2014, shortly after the death of her pet dog Floyd in April of the same year.
The animal lover and her husband, Liam Hemsworth, currently own seven dogs, four horses, and three cats.
