When it was revealed Mischa Barton has signed on to join The Hills reboot, in a way it made complete sense. Of course the OG OC girl, Marissa Cooper, would sign on to join the reality show inspired by the scripted series. However, sources have revealed that there might be another reason for her new gig. Read on for the latest.
Radaronline.com exclusively revealed that Mischa is in over $52,000 tax debt. An LA Country clerk confirmed that she was hit with two separate federal tax liens.
She received the first one back in January 2017 in the amount of $38,124. Her 2nd one came on September 5, 2018 for $14,862.
The clerk confirmed that both liens remain unpaid.

Earlier this week, the 32-year-old confirmed The Hills news with a video in which she yelled “Welcome to the Hills, b****.” Which, of course, isa reference to the famous line from the pilot episode of The OC.
She then captioned the quick upload,” The secret’s out... I’m joining the cast of The Hills. When MTV approached me with the chance to be a part of the reality show that was inspired by The OC, it felt like the perfect opportunity for an irresistibly inviting new chapter.”
