Although Kenya Moore was axed from the Real Housewives of Atlanta due to “messy” contract negotiations, many of her former castmates including Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, and Porsha Williams attended her baby shower in support of their friend. RHOA star NeNe Leakes didn’t seem to get the invite but after seeing a photo of them, she took to Instagram to slam Bravo’s decision.
Nene previously did an interview with Bossip to discuss her feelings regarding Kenya not being part of the show anymore.
When asked if NeNe would miss Kenya, she said “I can’t say that I do. It’s not that I do or don’t, I just, you know, she’s not on the show, she’s not on the show. That’s just how it is.”
Now NeNe has stepped up to defend Kenya. When a popular Instagram account reposted the baby shower picture the RHOA star commented, “They r sooooo beautiful! So so so happy for her and Marc.”
She continued to say, “She should be a housewife! Bravo is crazy.”

Kenya decided not to return to RHOA for season 11 after a messy, lengthy contract negotiation that left her and Bravo on opposite sides of the battle lines. According to sources, both production and Kenya wanted her to return however she was requesting more money than they offered and they wanted to film all parts of her life: which included her marriage to husband Marc Daly that was previously off-limits. His lack of presence was something she was criticized for in season 10.
Kenya also refused to show her fertility treatment from the show and didn't participate in the cast trip to Barcelona during season 10 which many fans speculated Bravo used these as an excuse to lower her pay.
“Everyone wanted to have Kenya back, but they wanted to have the old Kenya back — the one who isn’t afraid of the cameras,” a source told PEOPLE. "You can’t have secrets and be on reality TV. Especially when other Housewives are showing all of their lives — the good, bad, and the ugly. They need to see your life.”
“Everyone was rooting for her and wanted to see her back, even women like NeNe and Porsha who haven’t always been on "Team Kenya." The cast, producers, Bravo — they all know she’s good for the show. But it got messy. She just refused to compromise.”
