NeNe Leakes took to her Instagram page over the weekend to share her heartbreak over the tragic death of her good friend Will Smith!
Will, a former defensive end who played for the New Orleans Saints, was shot and killed on Saturday night in what authorities believed to be a road rage incident following a car accident.
His wife, Racquel Smith, was also injured during the shooting.
But according to The Washington Post, police are now investigating the exact motive of the shooter, Cardell Hayes, who was driving a vehicle that was involved in the three-car accident.

Family, friends and fans of the footballer immediately took to social media to share kinds words about Will and his wife when news of the shooting broke. And in NeNe's post on Sunday, she said that she and her husband, Gregg Leakes, were very upset to hear about their friend's death.
She added that the couples were actually planning to meet up soon for a group date night.
Smith’s death comes just days before NeNe's comedy show debut in Charlotte, North Carolina. A makeup-free NeNe took to her Instagram on Monday morning to update her fans about that event. In the video she admitted that she spent most of Sunday in bed due to some bad news she received from one of her friends, likely referencing the death of Will. But she added that Gregg encouarged her to get up on Monday morning and attempt to start her week in a positive headspace as she prepares to kick off her show!
