"Viki with Karen Wolek (played by Judith Light) who was married to Dr. Larry Wolek, Viki's brother-in-law. This was when Viki discovered that Karen was a prostitute and the beginning of a marvelous story—one of the best ever told in daytime drama (it was written by Gordon Russell). Judith won her first Best Actress Emmy for this story."

"I am happy about something, I think it was a fan event."

"Bernie Grand (who played Steve Burke), me, and Lee Patterson. Steve Burke was Victor's choice to marry Viki after Joe disappeared and was presumed dead. When I joined the show in 1971, I worked with Bernie Grand most of the time and we got married; when Lee Patterson returned to OLTL (obviously NOT dead), Viki went back to Joe. That was when my real father, Walter Slezak, was on the show playing my godfather, Laslo, who came to town to talk Steve Burke into giving Viki a divorce. My father was a fabulous actor and it was a joy to be able to work with him just one time."
