New ‘Bachelor’ Option? Fans Are Now Rooting For Derek Peth!

After Bachelor Nation saw Demi Burnett dump Derek Peth for her girlfriend Kristian Haggerty on Bachelor in Paradise, fans are now hoping that Derek will get a second chance at love — as The Bachelor!

Derek, 32, who was originally on JoJo Fletcher's season as The Bachelorette in 2016, seemed heartbroken on the Tuesday, August 20 episode of BIP when Demi, 24, chose a girl from back home over him.

Since then, the Internet has been fan-girling over the blue eyed man and are rooting for Derek to get his own season as The Bachelor. They even started the hashtag "#DerekForBachelor."

"How is Derek still single? Derek for bachelor," said a fan on Twitter. "OK since Tyler C for Bachelor doesn’t seem to be an option now... I’ll say it, @PethDerek for Bachelor. Here for it. Ship it. Stan it. Whatever the kids are saying these days, I’ll watch. #DerekForBachelor," said another. 

While Tyler Cameron was a fan favorite during Hannah Brown's season and considered a huge contender as the next Bachelor — it's unlikely he'll be the next one in the hot seat considering all the time he has been spending with supermodel Gigi Hadid.

Mike Johnson, who was eliminated from Hannah's season during week seven, is among the few men to be considered for The Bachelor as well! He is currently a part of the sixth season of Bachelor in Paradise but it is unclear whether or not he finds love.

Peter Weber, who was the third man standing during Hannah's season, is also a possible contender. The Bachelor is historically announced during the finale of Bachelor in Paradise — September 10.
