Nick Lachey has been married to his wife, Vanessa Minnillo, for almost eight years now! Since day one, the adorable couple has been defining couple goals. In an exclusive interview with OKMagazine.com, the 98 Degrees singer revealed the secret behind having a successful romance.
When asked what the secret is, Nick replied to OKMagazine.com, "Dogs!" As loyal fans of the couple may know, they share an adorable pup, Wookie, together.
"Marriages last longer with dogs! I do think, in all seriousness, having a dog first was a great kind of training to be a parent, sounds crazy but it really was. It's not apples to apples kids but it was a great thing for us as a couple, to have a dog in our relationship."
"As far as a marriage, like most things it's about communicating. If you don't communicate, things tend to build up and then get blown out of proportion," he added.
Nick and Vanessa share three children together, Camden, Brooklyn, and Phoenix.

He admitted that Brooklyn is a "massive" animal lover. He said, "We might need to move to a farm because she loves animals so much!"
