After Nicki Minaj threw MASSIVE shade at Travis Scott and other male rappers over the weekend on Twitter, today brings the news that the “Chun Li” lyricist will be seated right by Kylie Jenner’s baby daddy at the MTV Video Music Awards! Read on for the latest.
The VMAs have always been known to get people talking, and it looks like tonight’s ceremony will be no different since apparently the producers have strategically seated the two dueling rappers right near each other in the audience!
Over the weekend Nicki went OFF on Travis on social media after his album Astroworld topped her new one Queen on the Billboard charts—coming in at the #1 and #2 spots, respectively.
She tweeted, “Travis sold over 50K of these. With no requirement of redeeming the album, with no dates for a tour, etc! I spoke to him. He knows he doesn’t have the #1 album this week. I love my fans for the #1 album in AMERICA! I’ll explain on #QueenRadio 4 albums in, #1 in 86 countries. ”

She was not done putting him in his place, because she added another tweet that pointed out his baby mama Kylie’s role in the whole thing: “I put my blood, sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling people to come see her & Stormi I’m actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans.”
The 35-year-old also called out other male rappers in the game, questioning their places on the chart—including Drake. “Spotify put Drake’s face on every playlist but told me they’d have to teach me a lesson for playing my music 10 mins early on #QueenRadio. Even though they’ve been giving away my music for free for years & I am one of the top Spotify artists of all time.” She was UPSET!
