When the country crooner went to rehab in October 2006, the stress of his health became too much for the Oscar winner.
Insiders revealed that "Nicole told people she had to dig deep and fight for him. But to some, it seemed like her bags were packed."
The mother of four decided to stay strong and she stayed with him, regardless of the issues surrounding their marriage. Nicole never regretted her decision to leave.
