Nicole Kidman And Keith Urban Donate $500,000 To Australian Fire Relief Amid Their House Being ‘Under Threat’
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s home is in danger. The Big Little Lies actress revealed that her Australian home that she shares with her husband Keith, 52, was under threat from bushfires after recently donating $500,000 to Rural Fire Service, according to People.
A rep for the Aquaman actress told the media outlet, “Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have donated $500,000 to Rural Fire Service.” The rep also added, “Their house is not on fire. It is under threat, so they are keeping a close eye on it.”
On Saturday, January 4, the actress was visibly upset during the Gold Meets Golden event in Beverly Hills, California. The actress, who was nominated for best performance by an actress in a television series, told reporters, “I’m so sorry I’m so distracted by what’s happening in Australia.”
While a source told In Touch, “She looked very tired and sad. She just found out and got off a plane right before coming here.” Adding, “She went into the party and put on her sunglasses and a smile. She was very poised taking photos and talking with Joey King and Josh Dallas.

The actress revealed more on her Instagram that same day, saying, “Our family’s support, thoughts, and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia. We are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now.” Keith, who was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, shared the same statement on his Instagram account.
The couple reportedly owns two homes in Australia, a penthouse in Sydney and Bunya Hill, a 111-acre farm at Sutton Forest just a few hours from Sydney that they purchased for allegedly $6.5 million in 2008.
The actress gave a tour of her 1878 sandstone farmhouse in a Vogue video in 2015. The two-story Georgian mansion featured a carved wood staircase, 10 marble fireplaces, a pool room, and a library.
The fires affecting Australia have burned through more than 12 million acres and killed 19 people with dozen missing, according to Us Weekly. It’s also reported that an estimated half a billion animals have also died.
