Nicole Richie and her husband, Joel Madden, have been married for a little over four years. But a friend close to the couple told RadarOnline.com that their union has hit a rough patch, and the pair is now facing some serious issues in their relationship.
Richie and Madden were seen over the weekend in Los Angeles, California, looking pretty upset during an outing together.
And according to the insider, their sour looks may have been a product of what’s going on in their relationship.
“Nicole and Joel are going through a very tough time right now and their friends do not think that their marriage is going to survive,” the source said.

The insider continued, “Joel is saying that he cannot take it anymore and that neither of them are happy when they are together.”
