Cameron Diaz continues to be spellbound by husband Benji Madden – but friends are worried she’s lost her personality since tying the knot with the controlling musician.

A source told OK! exclusively, “Cam’s like a walking zombie these days, she’s totally under Benji’s spell.”

Her friends tolerated this at first because she was newly married and they figured she’d snap out of it after a few months. But it’s only gotten worse.

According to the insider, “She has to run everything past Benji, from going to the market to having her nails done – and he only approves her to hang out with certain people, like Nicole Richie, her sister-in-law.”

Many of her friends have given up on her because they figure Benji’s screening Cam’s texts and micro-managing everything she does. “It’s like he’s got her captive in his prison and she’s powerless to break free,” the source explained.
