Justin Timberlake blew the audience away when he opened the 2017 Oscars with his performance of “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” but if the singer had his way, he’d stick around for the entire ceremony!
“JT has thrown his hat into the ring several times before to host, but it’s never happened,” a source told exclusively.
According to the source, JT was hoping this year’s Oscar would be “his chance to bowl the Academy over with a killer performance,” and claimed Justin had “spent loads of the producers’ money on dancers and choreography,”

Justin isn’t a total stranger to hosting. He’s hosted Saturday Night Live five times and has appeared in skits on his pal Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show several times.
Plus, the source claims JT already has an advantage! Mike De Luca, a producer who helped get Justin cast in the Academy Award-winning film The Social Network, was on the Oscar’s producing team this year and let Justin “go over the top” with his performance.
