If you're on a diet, the holidays are a test to your will and dedication. With all the delectable dishes sure to occupy your table over Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas, it's easy to give in and put on the pounds than take off, but Maureen McCormick is up to the challenge. The former Brady Bunch star and Celebrity Fit Club contestant tells OK! she's going to fight the temptation this Thanksgiving.
"Portion control is important," Maureen tells OK!. "The best thing I think to do is just take one bite and enjoy it, and then stop instead of eating a whole dessert."

The 51-year-old weighed a svelte 116 pounds when she finished CFC, but put 10 pounds back on afterwards. She plans on adhering to the Susan's Healthy Gourmet plan again and substitute some healthy snacks, such as nuts and veggie sticks with hummus, for fattening holiday treats.

"It's great because I already have stuff that's sliced and diced up that I can eat when I'm hungry instead of reaching for chocolate, which I would usually do," she says. "The best things to eat for snacks are fruits and vegetables throughout the day, and it's really good to eat every few hours, just a little something."
As for Turkey Day, Maureen has big plans.
"My family and friends who don't have families come over for the holidays," she says. "I'm cooking for 20 to 30 people this Thanksgiving, so I'm going to be making turkey, cranberry sauce, pearl onions, green beans and almonds, a salad, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. I make a lot of food."
