Omar Marteen has been identified as the gunman in the horrific Orlando massacre that left 50 people dead. Now, his father is speaking out on his son's decision to enter the gay club, Pulse, and open fire early Sunday morning.

Omar's father, Mir Seddique, spoke to NBC News and said that the shooting "has nothing to do with religion." He revealed that a few months ago, his son got angry when he saw two men kissing and thinks that could be the reasoning.

He added, "We are saying we are apologizing for the whole incident. We weren't aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock like the whole country."

The incident has left 50 dead and 53 injured making it the deadliest massacre shooting in US history.

It has been reported by the DailyMail that ISIS has not taken responsibility for the shooting done by Omar, but they have praised his actions on social media accounts.

It has been reported that Omar entered the club opening fire at 2AM local time and around 5AM, a SWAT team entered to rescue hostages.

During a shoot out, Omar was left killed and about 30 hostages that were hiding in the bathroom were rescued.
