“Tradition dictates that black and brown should never be worn together. This rule — like the one about not wearing white after Labor Day — is meant to be broken. “To create today’s romantic ‘do, I started by washing my hair, letting my curls air dry, then tying them into a low ponytail. I inserted the ends through the middle of The Wrap Up (a bendable bun making tool), then rolled the tool up to the base of my neck and folded the edges. Since headbands tend to give me headaches, I decided to add some bling with chandelier earrings. I placed them on opposite sides of my part and pinned them down to look like a crown. From his androgynous clothing to his ombré locks and guy-liner, Jared’s free-spirited style is refreshing, fearless and inspiring. “British style icon, Alexa Chung is our go-to It Girl for fashion forward inspiration. Since rocking the pilgrim look back in 2010, we’ve seen it on Diane Kruger, Rita Ora and Khloe Kardashian (to name a few). Today’s my turn! To pull off the masculine look while keeping it feminine, I paired a ribbon bow tie blouse with a short overall dress and heels. I find denim to be too bulky to pack, so I wear it on departure and arrival. I went with shredded boyfriend jeans because fitted skinnies can be restrictive. "I've always been a sucker for the classic I heart NY tee. To modernize it, I paired it with a leather paneled pencil skirt. I wore strappy snake sandals to add a print to the color blocked look and layered with a denim vest to pick up the blue color in the shoe."

"With all the walking I do in NYC and all the subway stairs to walk down and up, a long, flowy maxi dress is a commitment. So… it has to be worth it! Love the floral print of this one by Shoshanna. I knew I'd be picking it up a lot, so I wore shoes that I want to show off."

"Today I was inspired by Nicole Scherzinger's pretty maxi dress. To keep the look light, I followed her lead and accessorized with delicate jewelry and I topped it off with a straw hat for shade and drama (of course!). I'm wearing Fashion Forms stick-ons underneath—they're a backless must."

"She won our Best-Dressed Celeb reader poll, so naturally Victoria Beckham would inspire today's outfit. I generally don't like to be so matchy-matchy but nude pumps would have been boring and black ones would have weighed the whole look down. She's not a style icon for nothing!"

"I've been feeling tropical ever since I got my St. Tropez spray tan. Today I took it one step further in this bright-orange two-piece. To carry out the easy-breezy island look, I put my hair in a side fishtail braid and opted for wedge heels."

“Freida Pinto looked flawless attending the Chanel Cruise Collection in Dubai, but I wanted to re-create the look in a less exotic destination (outside the office in downtown NY). So I opted for a calf-length skirt, tucked in my shirt and added a belt. We don’t have to be on vacay to look like we are!”

“A jean jacket like Jennifer Aniston’s is a wardrobe staple. Modern details like leather piping or painted denim (like the one I'm wearing) are a fun way to update the casual classic. To dress it up, I paired it with a silk floral skirt, a heavily beaded top and heels."

"I love the classic blue-and-red color combo of Anna Kendrick's plaid shirt. To maintain an effortless ‘I'm not even trying’ sort of look, I only tucked half of it into my jeans. Mirrored sunglasses are trendy this summer and act as a great accessory to modernizing an outfit."

“Floral prints never get old. I love this one because it reminds me of a fine art oil painting. With a halter neck, deep V (not seen, the wind caught me!), and an asymmetrical hem, the dress has a bohemian vibe. So I wore it with loose, wavy hair, piled on a few bracelets and topped it with a denim jacket."

"My job doesn't require me to wear a suit to the office. Phew! But a cute and polished short suit suits me! It's a comfortable and professional way to do work-wear this time of year. Bonus: It shows enough leg that I want to wear it after work, too! I paired it with a skull tee and leopard pumps to keep it playful."

"I recently discovered the beauty of a cape, and I'm hooked! It's not a common article of clothing, so a few weird looks have been thrown my way (especially in the Financial District!). But don't let that stop you for trying one—the extra layer is a great alternative to a shawl and makes you feel like a superhero."

“Printed pants have personality and look best when paired with a solid colored top, the way Jenna Dewan-Tatum did. To add a layer of unexpected dimension, I opted for a snakeskin bag and heels. While mixing prints can be tricky, this worked because the colors of my accessories bring out the black and white in my pants."
