Maksim Chmerkovski and Peta Murgatroyd are expanding their dancing duo family!
The couple, who got engaged in December, are expecting their first child!
“I can’t wait to provide this baby with the tools to become a beautiful, kind person,” Chmerkovskiy told People. “And they’ll have the best sneaker collection.”
The 29-year-old professional dancer learned she was pregnant just a few weeks into season 22 of Dancing with the Stars. “I was so sick,” Murgatroyd explained her first months of pregnancy while competing.

But she is doing much better in her second trimester! “I’m looking forward to nurturing something and just having the baby be the center of our world,” she said
“The timing is perfect, actually. I’ll have the baby in January and then I’ll still have about six months to prepare for the wedding,” she added. “The baby will make a wonderful addition to the wedding party. A wonderful, tiny addition.”
