Peter Thomas Resumes Bar One Construction Amid Eviction Talk — Find Out When RHOA Star Says Restaurant Will Reopen!
Aug. 14 2015, Updated 4:10 p.m. ET
Just a few days after it was revealed that he had been served an eviction notice for the new location of his Bar One restaurant, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Peter Thomas took to the resturant's Instagram page to seemingly knock the eviction talk!
RadarOnline.com obtained legal documents this week that showed that Thomas had recently received a notice of eviction for his Bar One restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, which hasn’t yet opened. Thomas originally opened Bar One in another Atlanta location. But due to a rent dispute with his previous landlord, Thomas decided to relocate Bar One to it’s current Auburn Avenue location.
In the eviction document, Thomas’ landlord, Yanise Vincent, also demanded that he pay $1,869 on the property.
Thomas hasn’t commented directly on the eviction reports, but he did take to Bar One’s Instagram page on Thursday to finally offer a new update on the status of Bar One. Perfect timing, Peter!

In the photo, he showed that construction on the spot is continuing and he teased a Fall 2015 opening for the new location in the post's caption. In an interview with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Vincent offered no comments on the situation. But seeing that Thomas is continuing his work on the building, it is believed the situation may have been resolved.
Back in 2014, Thomas was hit with a $100,000 lawsuit over that case involving Bar One’s old location. The suit claimed he “breached a lease agreement by failing to pay rent and other fees including late fees, bank charges, real estate property taxes and unpaid utilities” for both Bar One and the space being used for his wife Cynthia Bailey’s modeling agency.
Much of that drama played out on RHOA, so it’s no surprise that many are calling out Thomas and his wife for possibly padding their storyline for the upcoming eighth season of RHOA! What do you think about Peter’s Bar One troubles? Tweet us @OKMagazine or let us know in the comments section below.
