Phaedra Parks may be done with the The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Season 8 drama. But the RHOA vet is facing some new life struggles now that her defamation lawsuit with author Angela Stanton is heading to trial!
RadarOnline.com reports that the almost four-year-old case is just days away from trial.
Parks’ issues with Stanton first began back in 2012 when she sued the author over allegations she published in her book Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell The Truth & Shame The Devil. In the book, Stanton claimed that Parks helped run a “criminal enterprise” with her now imprisoned husband, Apollo Nida.
According to court documents, Stanton said that the duo used stolen cars, bad checks and fake bank accounts to keep the business going. And she also alleged that Parks had a secret “girlfriend.”

Parks hit back, though, suing Stanton for defamation. But Stanton then returned with a counterclaims suit.
Parks attempted to have the counterclaims dismissed, with the reality star most recently being denied a dismissal on March 12, 2016.
According to RadarOnline.com, a final hearing for a potential summary judgment is scheduled for April 20. However, the case will go to trial on the next day, April 21, if the judge decides to deny the dismissal again! What do you think about Phaedra’s latest legal battle?
