During her Brisbane concert on Monday, Pink interrupted the tunes to walk down into the crowd and embrace a grieving teen. Read on for all the details on this touching moment.
While at her seat, Leah Murphy held up a sign that read “My name is Leah – I'm 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mum last month. I would LOVE a hug … Please!"
Before the show, a relative of Leah’s admitted to CBSNews that she tried to get Pink’s attention via social media and then brought the physical sign when the previous attempts failed.
“We didn't think there was a chance but we held them up in hope she would see it,” she said.

During the concert, the supportive crowded helped get the “Try” singer’s attention again. After reading the sign, she wasted no time climbing down and pulling Leah in for a hug.
Leah recalled their interaction, “She told me that I looked pretty. She said ‘Oh, don’t cry.’ She said that everything was going to be OK. Then she signed my arm and we took a selfie.”
Before her passing back in June, it was Leah’s mother who had bought the tickets to attend Pink’s Sydney concert. The singer later cancelled that show due to illness, however, Leah’s family bought the teen replacement tickets and made sure she was able to have this experience.
