Crew Member Struck & Killed On Set Of ‘Power’

A crew member on the show Power was killed early this morning, Dec. 9, after being hit by a car while on the set of the popular Starz series.

At around 4:20am, production assistant Pedro Jimenez was struck by an SVU as he set up traffic cones in preparation for a location shoot.

Production of the series has been halted out of respect for the 63-year-old and to allow the cast and the crew a chance to mourn.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our Power family," said Starz in a statement. "Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez's family as we work to fully understand what has happened."

According to reports, the 64-year-old driver of the Ford Explorer was not connected to the filming or the network.

Power is Starz’s most watched series and its sixth season is currently in production. The show stars Omari HardwickNaturi Naughton, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who also serves as the series’ executive producer.
