Karlie Kloss has had her fair share of stomping the runway but now she will be behind the curtain when she becomes the new host of Project Runway. Her new role was announced earlier today so keep reading to hear all the details on Karlie's new gig.
The supermodel now has the chance to relax off of the runway and will get to work with prolific aspiring designers as a mentor and host on the show.
Karlie will join new mentor and Project Runway alum, Christian Siriano, Brandon Maxwell, Elaine Welteroth, and Elle magazine editor-in-chief Nina Garcia.
She will be taking over when longtime staples to the fashion competition series Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum depart. They announced their leave in September and will be moving on to develop their new fashion series for Amazon.
The 26-year-old is an executive producer on the series which will return to Bravo next year for season 17. The show's previous network home was on Lifetime. She said, "As someone who grew up watching Project Runway, I could not be more excited to host and produce a series that provides a platform to aspiring American designers as they pursue their creative and entrepreneurial dreams."
“Project Runway has offered such wonderful opportunities for so many and I’m excited to take on this role as a mentor,” Christian said. “I hope to guide and inspire the new talent on the rise.”
