Las Vegas is about to be extra crowded this year. Just weeks after both Gwen Stefani and Mariah Carey booked their Las Vegas residencies, iconic rock band Queen and Adam Lambert have announced that they too will be taking up real estate in Sin City with a new residency. Read through for all the details!
While Mariah and Gwen will be singing their hearts out at The Colloseum at Caesar’s Palace and Zappos Theater, respectively, Adam and the fellas of Queen will be rocking it at Park Theater at Park MGM beginning September 1. Tickets go on sale May 11.
One of their performance dates, September 8, is special to the members of Queen because it is Queen Day in Las Vegas, declared by the city’s former Mayor Oscar Goodman back in 2004.
Queen emerged back in the early 1970's from London and quickly became one of the most revered bands in history. They were formerly led by singer Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991. Since then, they have continued to tour and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

It was back in May 2009 when former American Idol star Adam first shared the stage with the band in his finale episode of the singing competition show. The chemistry between the two was apparently so great that they went on to perform at 150 shows together across the world.
Their upcoming Vegas residency is not just going to be the two forces belting out some of their best hits, though. Ticket holders will be treated to an experience complete with spectacular stage design and production by the talent behind some of U2, Pink Floyd, and the Rolling Stones’ most successful shows.
