Princess, 35, confirmed the news with a photo of her newborn holding her finger. The Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood star captioned the cute photo simply with the baby’s name, “Epik Ray Norwood,” followed with a blue heart emoji.
Ray J, 38, first teased the arrival of their child on YouTube with a tribute video to his family titled Ray J Exclusive Family Video (New Baby Alert) on Monday, December 30. The video included a collection of home videos from the holiday season, family vacations, and ended with a clip of Princess being wheeled in the delivery room.
On Saturday, December 28, the “One Wish” singer shared a video on Instagram of the couple’s first child, Melody looking into baby Epik’s bassinet before his arrival. Princess could be heard in the background talking to her daughter saying, “Your baby brother’s gonna be right there. Are you excited? That’s where your baby brother’s gonna be.”
The baby news comes after a few weeks of drama and cheating allegations. On Sunday, November 17, Princess accused Ray J of leaving her and their daughter stranded in Las Vegas after 2019 BET Soul Train Awards.
After seeing that Ray J posted a snap of their family on his social media account, an unimpressed Princess commented, “Left me and Melody stranded in Vegas and blocked me from calling … now you wanna post family photos #byeugly.”
Fans later questioned the model as to why she didn’t just go home. At the time, Princess explained, “Yes I can fly home. I have my own money. But my car is here, and I don’t want to drive back alone with daughter because I’m over 8 months pregnant and I don’t’ even want to stop for gas or go into labor with all of this human trafficking going on.”
Ray J denied those claims and addressed the allegations during an Instagram Live saying, “I love my family. I’ve dedicated my life to my family. To insinuate that I would do anything to harm my daughter is just sad man.”
