Garcelle Beauvais caused quite the stir when she announced she was joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 10 on Thursday, August 29. The Haitan-American actress is already well known in the film world but here are some fun facts about her ahead of her big debut.
Garcelle, 52, got her acting break back in 1985 on Miami Vice. Her acting credits include roles in The Jamie Foxx Show, NYPD Blue and Spider-Man: Homecoming, among many others. She currently stars on Freeform’s Siren.
She is a mother to three children. She had son Oliver, 28, during her first marriage to producer Daniel Saunders.
She married agent Mike Nilon in 2001 and they welcomed twins Jax Joseph and Jaid Thomas in 2007 after a long battle with infertility.
Garcelle and Mike divorced in 2010 after she learned he had been having an affair. She famously sent an email to his colleagues outing him over his infidelity.

The newly minted reality star expressed regret over the way she handled the cheating scandal on Where Are They Now in 2015. She admitted that she went to therapy and got a life coach to heal from the embarrassment of their split.
