Apollo Nida, who rose to fame as Phaedra Parks’ now ex-husband on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has been released from prison. A source told OK! exclusively on Tuesday, June 4, that he has been released to a Philadelphia halfway house.
Prison records show that Apollo, 40, will be released from the halfway house on October 15, 2019.
He was initially sentenced to eight years in prison in 2014 over fraud charges.
Apollo was arrested in January that year and pleaded guilty months later in May to charges in a fraud scheme that federal prosecutors say stole millions of dollars from over 50 people over four years.
It was his second time behind bars. He first served five years in a federal prison for auto title fraud before marrying Phaedra, 45, in 2009
Their divorce was finalized in 2016. The former couple share two sons together.
Apollo later got engaged to a woman named Sherien Almufi while he was behind bars.
She shared a romantic photo of them together in January.
