RHOA's Season 8 Will Begin Filming In July Ahead Of Show’s Official Cast Announcement

After months of speculation, a source speaking to RadarOnline.com has revealed that The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s eighth season will begin filming in the next two weeks!
“They start filming in just two weeks,” the insider said, which aligns perfectly with the production schedules of the show’s last few seasons.
In a post on the Bravo site in June, the network said RHOA production sources claimed that filming had not yet started on the season. "We haven't begun production, but we're excited about how the season is shaping up, and look forward to announcing details soon,” the statement from Bravo Production read.
But seeing that filming for the show’s seventh season started during the summer of 2014, a July production kickoff would follow a similar timeline as the past season's schedule.

And with NeNe Leakes announcing her surprise departure from the show just last week, many fans are speculating that the network may already be screen testing several replacements for the RHOA vet!
Several people have been tossed around as possible additions to the show’s cast, including former housewife Shereé Whitfield and actress Kim Fields.
But the field remains wide open until the official Bravo cast announcement, which the RadarOnline.com source said will be made sometime in September.
