The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s return is quickly approaching, and several major updates about the show have recently been revealed as we await its upcoming eighth season!
One of the biggest announcements came in July when RHOA vet Kandi Burrus announced that she and her husband, Todd Tucker, are expecting. And the reality TV star’s second pregnancy is expected to be a major part of the couple's storyline for the new season.
RHOA star Porsha Williams has also had some major developments happen over the past month. She went public with her relationship with her new boyfriend, NFL star Duke Williams. According to reports, Williams is also expected to reclaim her peach and return as a full-time housewife for Season 8.
But Porsha’s return isn’t the only casting change coming to RHOA. We all know that the show’s self-proclaimed queen bee NeNe Leakes has announced her split from the show. And reports say that several potential new cast members are being screened tested for the show. Shereé Whitfield, is also still said to be one of the top contenders for one of the show’s empty spots!

When it comes to taping for the new season, Burruss told People that she and Tucker have already began filming for the show. “We just started taping. Obviously you will get to see a lot of our journey through this pregnancy, but other than that it will be drama as usual,” she said.
It is likely that the other women have already began filming for the show as well, which is expected to return this fall.
