Denise Richards could not stop gushing over her daughter Sam’s major accomplishment on Instagram on Sunday, September 15. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s eldest achieved something that many her age wish to do on their first try.
Denise, 48, revealed that Sam, 15, passed her driver's permit test! She shared a photo of her smiling inside a pickup truck.
“Someone got her permit!!!!!” Denise wrote in excitement. Her RHOBH costar Dorit Kemsley congratulated Sam on the big news.
Others joked about Sam hitting the road for the first time. “Look out for mailboxes. First and only thing I’ve hit since getting my license a couple of years ago," one person warned. "Those things come out of nowhere.”
Sam is the oldest child of Denise and her ex-husband Charlie Sheen. The former couple share another daughter named Lola.

Denise adopted her youngest child, daughter Eloise, in June 2011 as a single parent. Her husband, Aaron Phypers, has plans to adopt the 8-year-old.
The Wild Things star and her husband Aaron, 46, celebrated their 1-year wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 8. They wed in Malibu, California in front of their loved ones and the RHOBH cameras. Footage from their nuptials was seen during season nine.
Perhaps Aaron will help Sam with her driving as Denise recently gushed over how well he’s doing as a stepfather in a new interview.
"He and I are definitely great partners with the kids and we’re definitely on the same page, which makes it so much easier,” she told Yahoo! Entertainment on Friday, August 23. “We have a strong family unit, we’re very secure and I’m so happy that Eloise has such a wonderful dad and my girls have a great stepdad."
The Bold & The Beautiful star also spoke about how her girls reacted to him once he became a special part of her life. "They saw how — right away — how he treated me and how he was with them and I think they felt comfortable with him right away," she said. "It was definitely an adjustment because the girls had always had — I didn’t share my dating life with them, I was very private about it, so it was an adjustment, but it was a good adjustment."
