The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards penned an emotional post about the loss of a family member on her Instagram on Tuesday, September 10.
Denise, 48, announced that her dog Leo, that she shared with husband Aaron Phypers, passed away.
“This is hard to post.... we recently lost our baby Leo... he’s on the other side with his fur baby brothers and sisters and his nana,” she captioned the heartbreaking snap of her dog. “We miss him so much we have been heartbroken. Leo you are a very special boy and we thought of you as our son & brother to Sami, Lola, & Eloise.”
Denise’s RHOBH costar Lisa Rinna and many other followers wrote condolences for her in the comments section.
“So sorry. Leo will always be in your hearts,” one fan penned. “The pain of losing a pet is heartbreaking. I bet Leo had a wonderful life with your family.”
The mother-of-four experienced a similar pain in December 2018 when her two dogs, Martin and Love, died within one week of each other.

“Never gets easy saying goodbye to our fur babies,” she wrote on Instagram while sharing some heartbreaking photos of both her dogs.
Denise has been dealt with some painful personal blows over the years. Her mother Joni died on November 30, 2007, after a long battle with kidney cancer. She was only 54 years old.
The Wild Things star gave her adopted daughter Eloise, 8, the middle name Joni in her honor. Denise shares Sam, 14, and Lola, 15, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
Professionally, things appear to be going well for Denise despite her personal tragedy. She walked the runway for her RHOBH costar Kyle Richards’ newest fashion line Kyle + Shahida during New York Fashion Week on Sunday, September 8.
She also looked to be in good spirits with her RHOBH castmates while out and about in NYC over the past couple of days. The rookie-turned-vet is back for another season on the long-running Bravo series
