Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi experienced a devastating personal loss recently. Read on to find out what happened.
Gretchen, 40, revealed that her 93-year-old grandmother died.
The loss is extra emotional for her because she’s expecting her first child, a girl, with fiancé Slade Smiley.
The bubbly blonde detailed her heartache about the ordeal on Instagram Tuesday, April 2.
“Although she lived a very long beautiful life, I was still so sad that she didn’t get a chance to meet her great granddaughter,” Gretchen wrote. “However she did get to see our latest ultrasound of baby girl, and that made her very happy.”
“I know she is in a better place and no longer in pain but my heart still hurts,” she continued. “I am choosing to remain grateful for the time we had with her on earth and find peace in knowing she is now watching over us from above (and probably even having a party in heaven knowing her.”
Gretchen finished the post with “Please pray for me and my family as our hearts heal from her loss.”
