Shannon Beador has a lot to celebrate lately. Her divorce from bitter ex-husband David is finalized, she’s found love again after heartbreak and has reached her goal weight by dropping a whopping 40 pounds! The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed her secrets on how she lost the weight in a surprising new video. Read on for all the details.
Shannon, 55, spoke with BravoTV.com about how she was finally able to shed the pounds after years of yo-yo dieting.
"I'm going to tell you how you get rid of (excess weight.)," she said. "Diet, diet, diet, diet, diet."
“I broke two ribs, and I couldn't exercise for a couple weeks, and that's where I lost the bulk of my weight,” she continued. “It's what you eat. It's what you put into your body."

So what does the mother-of-three recommend you do in the food department? “You can eat flavorful, good food that's going to satisfy you," she said. "You can eat all day if you want! You just have to choose the right things to put into your body... I always heard that it was 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise, and yeah, do I have some flab that I want to tone up? Absolutely. But I think it's like 90 percent or more diet."
Shannon’s weight struggles have been well-documented on RHOC for several seasons.
Her now ex-hubby David, 54, allegedly fat-shamed her several times. Vicki Gunvalson, Shannon’s fellow “amiga”, also poked fun at her weight during their trip to Jamaica last season.
