“How are things going at school?” Jennifer, 42, asked her daughter. Gabrielle, 12, simply responded, “Eh.” In a confessional, the RHONJ newbie revealed, “Gabriella had this group of friends that she really bonded with and then all of a sudden they dropped Gabi.”
The 12-year-old told her mom, “Even my old friend group, they’re just so mean. Before I was just sad that we’re not friends anymore and now they’re sending over their boyfriends to come throw food at me. Now I’m really sad.”
“It’s OK to be sad like that. When I was in high school I was not the most popular. There was one girl that just wouldn’t let it go,” Jennifer told her daughter. “It was very embarrassing. You just have to realize that not everybody in life is going to like you.”
Behind the scenes the mom-of-five got emotional and told cameras, “ I’m heartbroken. Nothing hurts a mother more than to see her go through this. So when Jackie Goldschneider accused me of bullying, it hit a nerve. What I did is completely different than what is being done to my daughter.” As RHONJ fans remember, Jennifer impersonated what Jackie said during the season 9 reunion.

“I remember what it was like. I didn’t have anyone to have my back. Telling my mom didn’t do anything because she’d be like, ‘Well what do you expect?’ and ‘They’re trash!’ It was like sometimes, I just needed someone to tell me everything’s going to be OK,” Jennifer told her daughter. “I just want you to know that I’ve got your back.”
The RHONJ star revealed, “Growing up my mother wasn’t big on sharing your feelings. The way she was parented was more tough love. I just want to raise my kids differently.”
Jennifer went into detail about the bullying on Twitter. “They said, ‘You can’t sit with us,’ so she moved. Then, the boys at the next table said, ‘You can’t sit with us either.’ She ignored them & proceeded to eat (these boys were the boyfriends of these girls) so they started to throw food at my daughter! Then the boys got called to the office,” she claimed.
“And who has boyfriends at 12?!” the mom-of-five questioned. “Why is where these kids sit at lunch so stressful! It gives me anxiety and it’s not even me!”
