Jill Zarin 'Hoping For A Miracle' As Husband's Cancer Battle Takes 'Unexpected Turn'

Jill Zarin’s husband Bobby’s fight with thyroid cancer still isn’t over. The former Real Housewives of New York City star is currently with her husband at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC, where is he recovering from yet another procedure. Bobby was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2009. He soon had his thyroid removed and underwent radioactive iodine treatment, but in 2013, the cancer spread to his lungs, and then last fall, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Although Jill is supposed to be preparing for her 5th Annual Luxury Luncheon this weekend, which raises money to help fight the disease, she’s instead sticking by her husband’s side, “hoping for a miracle.”
“His cancer took an unexpected turn,” Jill told People magazine exclusively. “But he is not going down without a fight.”
Despite Bobby’s procedure, Jill said she now wants the luncheon to go on more than ever. “I want everybody to show up on Saturday happy to celebrate Bobby because he is still with us and he is fighting,” she shared.
“I love my Bobby so much,” she said. “On Saturday, we want to show him how much we love him by raising a lot of money for the International Thyroid Oncology Group, which is looking for cutting-edge treatments for advanced thyroid cancer.”

While Jill is determined to see the show go on, she admits she’s “in physical shock” and has already lost eight pounds from the stress of Bobby’s cancer battle.
“He is the most loving and caring person I have ever known besides my father,” Jill added.
“Sometimes life just isn’t fair,” Jill admitted. “But we have such a great love story. He is the love of my life and I will do everything in my power to heal and care for him.”
