Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels brought the emotion on Sunday night’s episode, where the 34-year-old revealed that she and her husband Chris recently suffered a miscarriage.
Monique, who joined the Bravo series in season two, shares a son, 5-year-old Christopher, and a daughter, 2-year-old Milani, with her husband Chris. The two opened up about the miscarriage when they visited their Pastor on Sunday night’s episode.
“A little over a month ago, we had a miscarriage,” she confessed. “To be honest, I don’t think we fully dealt with it. We have been nonstop.”
“As soon as I took the pregnancy test, Chris was grinning from ear to ear. And it never once dawned on me that we would lose it,” she said in the confessional. “Until you’ve experienced loss, it’s hard to even put it into words, you know?” Chris, who admitted to being a “little down” about it, was more concerned about making sure his wife was ok.
“I was concerned because I’ve seen people boo boo crying, and she never did,” he said. “Monique just kind of kept flowing like it was normal.” She then spoke on the process being a bit easier given that they already gave birth to two healthy children, saying "If that were the first time Chris and I had ever tried to get pregnant and then experienced that, I think it would have been a lot harder.”
Her social media became lit up after the scene aired, which truly touched Monique’s heart. "Thank you all for the overwhelming support and well wishes! Chris and I truly appreciate every tweet and text message,”she said on her Twitter.
